My Cottage Garden is based upon those found in England—especially my grandmother’s—that I frequented as a child. A focal point is Froggy Pond with its waterfalls, koi fish, and a frog fountain. Two separate areas of the Cottage Garden are Abundance and the Horseshoe Garden. The Serenity Garden is a tranquil space that features the color, form, and texture of foliage. I modelled the Kitchen Garden, with its raised beds, on the ones I saw in Williamsburg, PA, while on my honeymoon. My first creation was the Stone Garden, a shady nook filled with pots of annuals and perennials. Stroll along the Woodland Walk where the temperature is ten degrees lower on a hot summer day. Admire the gnomes’ Stumpery and the Miniature Gardens that my grandson created. There are also a Rain Garden, filled with native plants, and a Meadow Garden that is entering it's second year.
