About

Home Gardening Expert

Pamela Hubbard is a garden coach and speaker offering tips and advice for the home gardener on all manner of garden and plant-related issues. When she is not writing her book, she can meet with you in your garden or virtually to brainstorm about your goals, design ideas, and plant choices. She will answer your questions about maintenance, such as when to prune, divide, and fertilize. She will help to identify plants. She provides coaching services in the Pocono and Lehigh Valley areas. Pam is a sought-after speaker for garden clubs, garden shows, and horticultural groups throughout the Northeast. Her talks are fun, informative, and illustrated with beautiful photographs.

Pam has been a garden writer, educator, and speaker for more than 14 years. She writes an award-winning blog, and her monthly newspaper articles, Gardening in the Poconos, earned a GardenComm 2019 silver medal. She is frequently asked to train new master gardeners for Penn State Extension. Pam was born in England, where she acquired the love of gardening at her grandmother’s knee. Her gardens have received three blue ribbons from the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society; they were featured in the Summer 2020 edition of Country Gardens Magazine.  Most recently, she is can be found writing her book on cottage gardens inspired by her own healing cottage garden.  Her book is to be published by Timber Press and will include illustrations by internationally known photographer Rob Cardillo.  As always, she can be found, endlessly pursuing her dream of recreating her grandmother’s cottage garden, at Astolat Farm in Effort, Pennsylvania.
